Why do my employees and co-workers
need to re-register?

On January 1, 2006, Illinois established a NEW donor registry that no longer requires additional consent from family members to carry out a donor’s wishes. By ensuring registered donor’s wishes are honored, hundreds more lives will be saved every year.

Millions of Illinoisans are still unaware of the new registry and the need to re-register, though. Many people mistakenly think signing the back of your driver’s license makes you a donor. This is no longer the case.

That’s where Workplace Partners come in – making employees aware and providing the opportunity to take 30 seconds to re-register as life-giving donors.
